Text: 2 Corinthians 5:7 "For we walk by faith, not by sight" (2 Cor. 5:7). What a powerful one verse! This has been a common theme in my daily prayer time, study time, and Experiencing God classes. By now most of you know but for those who don't, God is leading Diana to go part-time for now at work with her ultimately going to quit work in the future. With that has come a lot of anxiety and stress in our household. But as we prayed together and separately this is what God has spoken to us about. Therefore, we are stepping out in faith with many questions unanswered. I will never say a dollar figure because I believe that would cause the focus to be on Diana and I instead of God. I will simply say this, God is going to do amazing things in our lives and we are going to somehow, some way make it! I know this with all my heart although my mind wants to question it. Wouldn't it be easier if God just gave us the roadmap of our life? Sure it would be easier, but how would He get the glory? The answer is He wouldn't. If we had a roadmap to our life then we could walk by sight. In other words, we wouldn't need God. But because many times God just says, "Follow Me" with no other directions we must have faith. In simplistic terms faith is simply believing in what you can't see. So by God simply saying "follow Me" He is leaving a lot of details out. I don't know how God is going to work everything out, but I am confident that He knows His plans for me far better than I do (Jeremiah 29:11; Isaiah 55). You see you and I only see things from our own perspective, but God sees the whole picture. To put it other way, all you and I see are trees but God sees the forest. If we will trust God and turn over control of our life to Him, then He can begin to accomplish the things He wants to in our lives. But for this to happen we must become blind. How does a blind person get around? The get around mostly by someone who can see everything leading them. In our life, God is the only one who can see everything and so for us to live the life that God has called us to we must be lead by Him. If we try to use our sight on things we end up wandering from God and going places God never intended us to go. I want to challenge us all this week to become blind to our own ambitions and allow God to lead us around. Then see what sort of difference your life has from last week to this week. I can promise there will be changes if you are wholly lead by God. Some will be welcomed changes, but some of them will be difficult. But any and all changes that God makes in our lives are necessary changes for us to be the person that God wants us to be. I pray that this will be the greatest week of your Christian walk with God because you will be lead wholly by Him!
